From Our Fellow Amaro Enthusiasts...
Amaro has been a house favorite for generations of Italians, but now amaro is also widely wanted for craft cocktails. Since Cinpatrazzo hit the Chicago liqueur scene in 2016, our fellow enthusiasts have been busy creating cocktails starring the local amaro. Here are a few of our personal favorites - let us know if you have a recipe to share!
Amaro Apple Fall Classic
Ingredients -----
1 oz. Absolute Vodka
1 oz. Apple Brandy
1 oz. Amaro Cinpatrazzo
2 oz. Apple Cider
2 whole Star Anise
Apple Slice
Directions -----
Shake the vodka, brandy, amaro, and apple cider in a chilled shaker with lots of ice.
Strain into a martini glass and garnish with star anise and an apple wedge.

Amaro Autumn Martini
Ingredients -----
1 oz. Grey Goose Vodka
1 oz. Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1 ½ oz. Pumpkin Spice Cream (pref. Forbidden Secret Pumpkin Spice)
2 oz. Half and Half
1 whole Cinnamon Stick
Directions -----
Shake together the vodka, amaro, pumpkin spice cream, and half and half in a chilled shaker.
Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with the cinnamon stick. Top with whipped cream (optional).

Via Cavour
Via Cavour is the street Pat lived on when he studied in Florence

Ingredients -----
1 part Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1 part Dry Gin
1 part Dry Vermouth
Orange peel for garnish
1/2 part Coffee Simple Syrup*
Directions -----
Mix all ingredients over ice (stirred or shaken) until chilled. Strain in to a coupe glass. Twist orange peel over drink & garnish.
2 cups freshly brewed coffee
2 cups sugar
Small handful of coffee beans
Bring coffee to gentle boil in a saucepan, add sugar and coffee beans. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved and turn off heat. Let cool to room temperature then remove beans and bottle. Store in refrigerator.
Ciao, Cutie!!
Ingredients -----
1.25 ounces Amaro Cinpatrazzo
0.75 ounces Jo Snow Tangerine Lavender Honey Syrup
1 tbsp mandarine orange juice
Prosecco
Orange slice for garnish
Directions -----
Pour amaro, syrup and orange juice into champagne flute.
Top the flute with prosecco and gently stir. Garnish with a slice of mandarine orange. Enjoy!!
Santa's Sleighed
Ingredients -----
1 1/2 cups Milk
1/3 cup Nutella
1.5/2.0 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
Espresso Power
Whipped Cream
Directions -----
Heat milk and Nutella. Pour amaro into each mug. Add the heated milk/Nutella mixture.
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of espresso powder.
Makes two servings.

Lorenzo's Lair
Ingredients -----
1.5 oz Sotol Silver
.75 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.75 oz Tuaca
.75 oz coffee simple syrup (recipe under Via Cavor)
1 egg white
Directions -----
Add ice and ingredients to shaker.
Shake and serve.
----- A legend claims that Tuaca was created for Lorenzo the Magnificent and rediscovered by Gaetano Tuoni and Giorgio Canepa in 1938.
Respiro di Sole
----- "Breathe of the Sun"
Ingredients -----
1.5 oz Zapopan Tequila Reposado
.75 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 oz lemon-lime soda
.75 oz Kumquat Simple Syrup*
Directions -----
Mix. Pour over ice and add a lemon twist.
*2/3 c. kumquat puree
2/3 c. water
2/3 c. sugar
Bring ingredients to a boil and then let it cool. Drain through a sieve.
Rum Cheri Amor
Ingredients -----
1.5 oz of Diplomatico Venezuelan Rum Reserva Exclusiva
.75 oz of Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.75 oz of Lime Juice
.75 oz of coffee simple syrup (recipe under Via Cavour above)
1 egg white
Directions -----
Place ingredients in a shaker with ice.
Shake and pour into coupe glass rimmed with the juice of a lime.
Chico, Kiss Me Goodnight !
Ingredients -----
1.5 oz of Sotol Silver
1.5 oz of Solerno Blood Orange
1.5 oz Topo-Chico Mineral Water
.75 oz of Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.75 oz of Lime Juice
Directions -----
Place ingredients in a shaker with ice.
Shake and pour into your favorite martini glass.
Limon Refresher
Ingredients -----
1 ½ ounce Mezcal
¾ ounce Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1 ounce pineapple juice
¾ ounce Ginger liquor (*we used NANCE from Belize but another ginger liquor could be used)
2 drops habanero sauce
2 ounces club soda
Directions -----
Shake all ingredients EXCEPT club soda with ice and strain over fresh ice in a chilled class. Top with club soda & stir.

Orange You Glad It's Spring
Ingredients -----
1.5 ounce Tito's Vodka
.75 ounces of Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.75 ounces of Grand Marnier
.75-1.5 ounces of Orange Juice (to taste)
3 ounces of tonic
Directions -----
Shake and serve over ice in glass of your choice.
Primavera Spritz !!
Fill a glass of your choice with ice and San Pellegrino Limonata
Add a shot of Amaro Cinpatrazzo
Garnish with a twist of lemon slice.
Sicilian Ice Tea - Chicago Style
Fill a glass with ice and add -----
1 oz of Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1 oz of Blood Orange Italian Soda
1 oz of Lime Juice
.5 oz of Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
Top with Prosecco and a sprig of Mint.
Cinffogato
In a saucepan, simmer for 10 minutes -----
1/4 cup Blood Orange Balsamic
1/8 cup of Amaro Cinpatrazzo
2 teaspoons Agave Sweetener
A dash of Salt
Let cool and pour over your favorite Gelato or Ice Cream.
Garnish with an Orange Wedge.
Enjoy!
Had Me A Blast
In a glass filled with ice, combine -----
4 oz. Prosecco
1 oz. Aperol
1 oz. Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon blood orange bitters
Stir, brush lemon peel around the rim and garnish.
Eclipse of the Heart
In a rocks glass, add -----
2 oz tequila
2 oz Topo Chico Mineral Water
1 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1 oz lime juice
1 oz Limonata
1/3 oz Ancho Reyes Verde Chile Poblano Liqueur
1 1/4 teaspoon Aztec Chocolate Bitters
Stir; garnish with lime twist in the shape of a heart.

Pretty as a Peach
2 oz vodka
1oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1/2 oz Peche Liqueur
1/2 peach - peeled and blended
3oz lime/mint/elderflower italian sparkling mineral water
Serve over ice and garnish with a peach slice.
My Momma Was A Teetotaler
Ingredients -----
2 oz Few Bourbon Whiskey
2 oz Black Tea
2 oz Blood Orange Soda
1 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1 oz Patron Citronge Orange Liaueur
1/2 teaspoon orange bitters
Directions -----
Pour over ice in a rocks glass and garnish with an orange twist. Enjoy.
Apple of My Pie
Ingredients -----
2 oz Fresh Apple Cider
2 oz Crispin Hard Apple Cider
1 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.5 oz Cognac
1/2 tsp Aztec Chocolate Bitters
1/4 tsp Lemon Bitters
Directions -----
Pour over ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a lemon slice or apple slice.
A Perfect Pear
In a martini glass, pour 4 oz of Italian Apple, Pear, Ginger Soda
In a shaker filled with ice, add -----
2 oz Sotol Silver
1 oz Egg White
.5 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.5 oz Cognac
1.5 teaspoons of Matilde Poire Liqueur
3 drops of Aztec Chocolate Bitters
Stir vigorously and pour into the martini glass.
Jingle Juice
In a champagne glass, pour -----
3 oz cranberry juice
1oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1oz Cointreau
Top with Champagne!! Garnish with cranberries dipped in Demerara sugar.
Sweater Weather
Ingredients -----
1 ¼ oz. Zhumir Aguardiente
½ oz. Amaro Cinpatrazzo
¼ oz. RH Oak Aged Apple Brandy
½ oz Lemon
¾ oz. Dem (Demerara Syrup)
Top hot water
Batch Build -----
2 ¾ oz. batch, ½ oz. lemon
Method ----- Toddy
Glass ----- Irish coffee mug
Garnish ----- Chai-dusted apple chip

Hot Toddy ChiStyle
Brew 1 cup of Chamomile Tea
Add -----
1 oz of Diplomatico Rum
1 oz of Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.25 oz of Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
Sweeten to taste with honey or agave syrup. Garnish with an orange twist.
May substitute tea of choice, bourbon/whiskey for rum and any other orange liqueur.

1 oz dark Creme de Cacao
.5 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.5 oz Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
1 oz Cream
1 oz Club Soda
Directions -----
Pour into shaker with ice; shake and pour into martini glass - top with chocolate shavings!
A Kick in the Pamplemousse
Ingredients -----
.75 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.75 oz Ancho Reyes Verde
1 tsp lemon juice
Directions -----
Add Mesh & Bone Pamplemousse
Top with a lemon slice
La Parisienne
Ingredients -----
1 oz Cognac
1/2 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1/2 oz Grand Marnier
1.5 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp orange marmalade
1/3 cup champagne

Rocket Man
Ingredients -----
2 parts Amaro Cinpatrazzo
1 part Koval Rye Whiskey
A squeeze of orange, and
A dash of Blood Orange Bitters!

Black Manhattan
2 ounces Bourbon
1 ounce Amaro Cinpatrazzo
2 dashes orange bitters

4 oz Ginger Ale
1 tsp lemon juice

Shake and pour over a glass filled with crushed ice.

1.75 oz light rum
.5 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
.5 oz Dry Curaçao
1 teaspoon Pastis de Marseille
2 oz Mineral Water

Amaro Sour
1.5 oz Amaro Cinpatrazzo
3/4 oz Bourbon
1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 oz simple syrup
1 egg white
Shake without ice for 10 seconds/ with ice until chilled. Strain into glass filled with ice and garnish with lemon zest and maraschino cherry.
